Who I am

Hi, I’m Steve Bobarakis — a Pickleball Coaching International Certified Coach based in Clifton Park, NY. I’ve been playing pickleball for over three years now, and in that time I’ve fallen in love with the game and picked up a few local tournament wins along the way. Before coaching, I worked professionally in college athletics for seven years, first at The College at Brockport and then at the ECAC Hockey league office. That background helped shape the way I teach — blending patience, strategy, and encouragement to help players at any level feel confident and grow their game.

When I’m not on the court, you’ll usually find me hanging out with my wife, Alexis, and our son, John — or volunteering with Capital District Youth for Christ. I’m all about making pickleball fun, approachable, and community-driven. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to get tournament-ready, I’d love to work with you and help you take the next step in your game. Let’s play!

Steve is a great coach. Very patient and encouraging. He went above and beyond to help my cousin and I on our first day ever picking up a paddle. He made It so enjoyable that we have continued to play. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help learning this fun sport.
